presents “Sing It Out” – a live musical performance at Gourmet Bazar Banani.
“Sing It Out” is not only a platform for your favourite up-and-coming artists in the city to showcase their musical talents, but also a stage for sharing their stories of how music was able to help them during difficult times in life.
Music can be therapeutic, and children, adolescents and adults alike can benefit from musical involvement, strengthening mental capabilities and bringing together like and unlike-minded individuals to start a dialogue about mental health and its related issues.
For the past two years, MindMatters has been working towards spreading awareness on mental health and mental healthcare through campaigns. Just as we’ve used our emmzine and the art exhibition, “Exploring MindMatters” as a means of creative exploration of the mind through illustration, writing and photography, let’s begin exploring mental health through beats, tunes and songs at MindMatters presents “Sing It Out”!

Tashfee has a rather interesting background when it comes to her singing career. Unlike most musicians, she did not have prior training in music before her career had started. In fact, it was when a friend had one day invited her to sing at a studio among other musicians, did she discover her true calling. Since then, Tashfee embarked on a journey that led her to share the stage with the legendary John McLaughlin at the International Jazz and Blues Festival 2015, collaborate with brilliant musicians like Fuad Al Muktadir and Romel Ali among many others, and even become the first female ambassador of ArtistSpread, a joint initiative of Creinse and Sony DADC.
